How we collect, use and protect personal data.
This page sets out Ashvaren Advisory Limited's policies on personal data. The company is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller (ICO registration reference ZC168895, verifiable on the ICO register). This page comprises two documents: our Client Data Protection Policy, which applies to personal data processed in the course of providing advisory services; and our Website Privacy Notice, which applies to personal data collected through this website.
We may receive personal data directly from you or from individuals connected with you when you contact us, instruct us or communicate with us. We may also generate personal data internally and receive it from third parties including public registers, professional advisers and screening providers.
Depending on the engagement, we may process contact and identification details, background and relationship information, engagement correspondence and files, financial and billing information, compliance-related information, and any other information provided in connection with the services.
We use personal data to provide services, manage engagements, handle financial administration, comply with legal obligations, manage risk, improve our services, and, where permitted, communicate about relevant services and events.
We rely on contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent (where required) as lawful bases for processing. Where we rely on consent it may be withdrawn at any time, though this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
We treat client information as confidential. We may share personal data with service providers, professional advisers, regulators and other parties where necessary for the engagement or required by law. We require processors to apply appropriate protections.
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Requests should be directed to dataprotection@ashvaren.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or required by law. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. Version: January 2026.
We collect information you provide when contacting us through the Site, including name, email address and message content. We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, depending on your cookie preferences.
To respond to enquiries, administer and improve the Site, and protect our systems. We rely on legitimate interests and consent (for non-essential cookies) as lawful bases.
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with service providers who support the Site. Where data is transferred outside the UK we apply appropriate safeguards.
We use cookies to make the Site work and, depending on your choices, to understand how visitors use it. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.
